Margaret is an Early Career Scientist with National Geographic is a lecturer at the South Eastern Kenya University. She has been working with the Mombasa coastal communities living around Mida Creek on Mapping and Valuation of ecosystem services from mangrove forests as socio-ecological systems. She also conducted research on the impact of pollution on ecosystems and developed transdisciplinary projects together with other partners, and the community living around Kwa Vonza, Coastal region, Kenya. She was among the team that organised the first students conference in conservation science in Nairobi, Kenya.
